2026 A Year in Glass

A Celebration of Our Creative Lampwork Community

Open to all glass artists worldwide. 

WHAT DID YOUR YEAR IN GLASS LOOK LIKE?

2026 Reflections in Glass is launching as an annual publication celebrating the creativity, diversity, and accomplishments of the lampwork glass community.

For our first issue, all glass artists are invited to share one image that represents their year in glass.

Your image might feature a favorite piece, a new technique, a personal milestone, a collaboration, a body of work, or simply something that captures what glass meant to you in 2026.

 Your piece needs to represent your 2026 journey in glass.

The inaugural 2026 Reflections in Glass will be featured in the December 2026 issue of Glass Bead Evolution, the premier publication of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB).

This is not a competition or a juried exhibition. It is a collective reflection of the year—created by the glass community, for the glass community.

• One contact — website, email, or social media
• One high resolution image - labeled with artist,title, as submitted on form DROPBOX

What piece represents your year in glass?

Maybe you...

• returned to glass after a break
• explored a new creative direction
• completed a challenging project
• taught or mentored another artist
• collaborated with another maker
• participated in an exhibition
• traveled for glass

made something simply because it brought you joy

There is no right answer. Your reflection is your story.

IMPORTANT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• One submission per artist or artists
• Artwork must be original work by the submitting artists
• Photograph must be high resolution and suitable for publication
• Artist must own the rights to the submitted photograph
• Work may be wearable, sculptural, functional, experimental, or another form of glass art.
• The work must represent the artist's 2026 glass journey
• Collaborative work should identify all participating artists
• By submitting, artists grant ISGB permission to reproduce the image and accompanying information in Glass Bead Evolution, Reflections in Glass, and related ISGB promotional materials

Your submission will be acknowledged upon receipt. Submissions that do not meet the requirements or contain incomplete information may not be included in the publication.

It is the artist's responsibility to review the submission guidelines and ensure that all information and files are complete and accurate.

PHOTO TIPS Your photograph is the star!

• Focus on your artwork
• Use good lighting
• Make sure the image is sharp and in focus
• Keep distracting backgrounds and objects out of the frame
• Avoid hands, displays, clutter, or other visual distractions
• Submit the highest-resolution image available 1 MB minimum. 
•
