Patty Lakinsmith is thrilled to report that a collaboration that she did with Jerry Harr, a metalsmith friend from Redding CA, was juried into this year's Indelible Exhibit.
Priscilla Martin says one of her pieces, Egret's Garden, was accepted in Lark's upcoming book, 500 Beaded Jewelry. It was pretty exciting as it's a piece of many firsts: She'd never submitted anything for publication before, never did seed beading, never made most of the lampwork forms that're included in it, and never combined so many media in a single piece. Rose Klapman was delighted that a lampworked necklace of hers was published in Eye Candy Section of the current issue of The Glass Bead.

Our next meeting will be the twelfth annual jewelry trunk and demo day at Piece of Mind Studio in Sacrament. The sale will be June 23rd from 10am to 4 pm. Bring your beads and jewelry to sell. The Southern California Flame Surfers general meeting will meet at Pacific Art Glass on Saturday June 9th at 10 AM. There is a $5 fee to cover refreshments. Our awesome guest Demo/Artist will be Heather Trimlett. The swap theme is hollow beads. If you want to participate in the bead swap bring a nicely wrapped bead. Be sure to include a card with your name so the recipient will know who their treasure came from. We will be adding show and tell time so please bring your latest creations to display.
