ARTCO - Artist's Reliable Tool Company

Initially, we catered to the furnace worker; we manufactured our own line of blowpipes, we were the first to import the Essence line of handtools and Exact hand torches, and we carried a selection of wood paddles and high temperature gloves. Over the years, our customer base has expanded, as has our product mix. In 2005, we started to expand our product line even more to include products for kiln workers and lampworkers.
As artists ourselves, we recognize the importance of using products we can trust and depend on. ARTCO was founded on the concept of only offering items that we, ourselves, would use. Our goal is to provide you with the best quality, best selection, and best service possible. Please, let us know how we may serve you.

Beads of Courage
Jean Baruch, developed the first Beads of Courage, Inc. program while working on her PhD in Nursing at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing. Her inspiration came from her clinical practice, and from her experiences as a camp nurse at one of Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camps. With the financial support of her family and friends, Jean developed and piloted the Beads of Courage Program at Phoenix Children's Hospital in February 2004. We are growing every day, providing innovative, arts-in-medicine supportive care programs for children coping with serious illness, their families and the health care providers who care for them. Beads of Courage, Inc. is an approved public charity under I.R.S. Code Section 501(c)(3), based in Tucson, Arizona.

Double Helix Glassworks

Double Helix Glassworks is a small, family owned business in the Pacific Northwest. We began in 2005 with Jed mixing colors by hand in the torch and Julie listing them for sale on E-bay. Enthusiasm from fellow lampworkers led us to purchase our first furnace and make a pot of glass. It was a great success for both us and our customers. We continue to experiment with glass colors and our customers continue to bring those colors to life in their own work!

The Flow/Profitable Glass Quarterly

Since its inception, the focus of The Flow has been to provide a bond among members of the lampworking community. This has been accomplished by developing relationships with the finest artists & sharing their techniques with you through in-depth, step-by-step tutorials. In every issue you can enjoy great content with the hottest artists and cutting edge techniques using the latest industry products. These features along with the continuation of our Women in Glass edition, Glasscraft Emerging Artist Awards, inspiring gallery showcases, dynamic general interest articles, as well as health and safety information make The Flow the leading international lampworking journal.

Profitable Glass Quarterly came into being through the guidance of its Editor in Chief, Maureen James, and her husband, Publisher, Steven James. Maureen’s experience as part of the staff at Standard Gravure, a subsidiary of the Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, and Steven’s background in fine arts gave them invaluable experience that helped them to establish a firm foundation for PGQ’s older sister art glass periodical, Glass Patterns Quarterly.
Through the years since the inauguration of GPQ in the fall of 1985, Maureen talked with art glass professionals and discovered that they all expressed a desire to have a publication that would provide a vital resource for glass professionals. Research showed that there were few published materials related to the business side of art glass. In particular, there seemed to be a need for information that would help stained glass retailers. To meet that need, the initial Spring 1998 issue of Profitable Glass Quarterly was launched as a newsletter that was designed to help retail store owners sharpen their business skills while keeping them in touch with the latest innovations in the world of art glass.

Zooziis

ZooziiTools are made by Amy Ouellette and her Dad, Carl Waterhouse. Amy is a lampworker and has enjoyed working with glass. While trying to find new canvases for her artwork, ZooziiTools were born. Amy wanted to create a tool that would allow the lampworker the opportunity to concentrate on the artistic expression on the surface of the bead, while still having a consistant, visually pleasing, and comfortable to wear shape. Zoozii's provides brass presses and other tools to the glass industry.
