ok -- Dustin, you got ahead of me and I didn't see these before I posted... I have to comment on your beads.

Holy Crap Batman (can I swear?)

First off -- there's the clarity and richness of color which is "chewy" (graphic slang for freakin' awesome eye candy)

Secondly -- control. ahhhh the control of those miniscule dots and the placement of your murrinis
It's a pinnacle that we can all strive for.

Thirdly -- the design. very contemporary, clean and precise placement of all of the above... all falling into place and creating such little masterpieces of glass art.

Note to Candy -- gotta get me one of those!

Thanks Dustin for raising the bead bar :-)

    Hi Lilly,
I just wanted to comment again on how adorable your sculptural g'ma bead is -- she's so cute I want to pinch her cheeks! How long did it take to make her? Her face has such a great expression and her hair is pretty spectacular too. I wish my real hair looked as good :-) Candy

Beautiful work, folks. Dustin, as always, I am awestruck. Charity, your colors are gourgeous, even if not "earthy." Aren't ALL colors "earthy," anyway? Think of the colors of flowers...Frederica, great beads also, good control. Am I forgetting anyone? If so, I'm sorry...

Here's one more for the road (7:11 p.m., car not fully packed yet, new jewelry not scanned yet, 3-hour drive tonight to be set up to show by 9:20 tomorrow a.m... Story of my life... )

Aside from the dichro piece at the bottom, this necklace is mostly all gemstones. They don't show up too well in the scan (had to use a dark background so the dichro would show up), but the necklace has strawberry quartz, pearls, aquamarine, antique crystal, seed beads, etc. There's some 14 kt. in this piece too...

Okay, off to pack up beads 'n tables 'n stuff in the wind and rain. Did someone say that they would like ME to write a book(let) about show biz? Not tonight, you wouldn't want THIS version. See y'all on Sunday night...

Everyone is doing great work. I'm impressed. Okay, I finally got some better pics of my latest addiction. These are kind of flat, with lots of dragonflies, and of course flowers. They're lots of fun and I like the flattened shapes. Hope you like them, even if the pics aren't so great.

Wow Cindy !! your beads are like very tiny oil paintings, so much detail and "heart" !

Dustin, your beads are just so totally psychedelic. In fact they're too nice for words. I'm SO jealous.

Candy, yes the bead ends are crimped.

People, send more pictures of your beads !

Cindy, you've done the dragonflies justice, those are beautiful and I'm sure even prettier in hand. They look just like the big ones I love to see at end of August around here. Favorite is the pale green lower left/2nd pic.

Candy, I usually spend at least 1 hour on a bead like the Granny, you know how it goes though, the best ones seem to go easily and the less time working with the glass the better imo.

Here's another Granny, though I like my first one best. Also a girl with a hat, and excellent way to use up little twisties and odd murrini(for the hat and buttons)

    Dear Soupy/Sue Fitzwater,

It just dawned on me that you are Sue Fitzwater! I loved your little girl with the inner tube you did for the summer exchange and also the cute little girl holding the black cat for the cat exchange. You make wonderful and charming beads and it makes me happy you like my girl w/ hat(I can see flaws that annoy me). I had looked for your website in the links section once because I like your beads!

why don't you post some pics?
