Jen (and everyone)--I decided last night to try your white enamel technique, as it really appealed to me, and here is the resulting bead:

I used transparent grey to make the cloud dots, and then dipped them in the enamel. The effect is so realistic-looking that it's almost spooky! I'm not sure if I actually LIKE it or not--but the clouds do look almost like a photograph! Actually, I think I'll go back to the pic right now and crop it, enlarge the clouds, and post that pic here too so y'all can get a better idea of what they really look like...
I sure can see that there are lots of possibilities for incorporating enamel into skies. I already use enamel a bit when making the "land" part of my landscapes, but had never though to use it for clouds...So thanks!
