Can't seem to put myself in front of that torch or kiln today and I need the practice . How do you all stay motivated in this hot weather?

air conditioning, & lots of it!
I just fire up the torch with an extra bottle of water next to me and get into it. I have a small fan blowing at my back to make a little cooling wind. After a short while working the glass, I just forget about the rest of the heat in the room.
HUGE glass of lemonade with a splash of limoncello. Yum! And new glass. New glass or supplies seems to be a big motivator for me.
I know you're all gonna hate me... Here in Hawaii... the temp. is never too hot. I was really thinking about moving to the mainland to be around the majority of the "Great ones" but ... I don't think I would be able to handle the heat! Good luck.
Starbuck's Caramel Frappacino gets me going everytime!
Or new glass!!
Okay, okay, guess I have no excuse. I just came up from my basement and it is pretty cool down there. It just might be cooler in my basement in front of the torch then in the rest of this oven which I call home.

I could send you a link to the pictures from our trip to the Ice Hotel in January!

Okay folks, I live in South Carolina and it's none too cool here. Also, my AC in my house is BROKEN!!!! My stupid boyfriend (who I normally think walks on water) thinks that "it feels good in here" while I am sweating my stinking *ss off. Not to mention the fact that I have a summer cold and can't breathe through my constantly either stopped up or running nose. I have a serious cough, can't seem to get enough sleep because I am so hot I wake up to soaked sheets. Bitter? Probably. Okay, yes, I am bitter.
This little rant has made my adrenaline shoot up and I am going to go make an angry bead now. Thanks for letting me yell. Promise to be my nice, normal self tomorrow.

P.S.,
Why is there no ANGRY Graemlin down here?????
Once I made beads with a bowl of ice water on the floor near my feet. Every so often I'd slip off my shoes and pop my feet in for a quick cool down. It sounds weird, but helped a lot. No air conditioning on my back porch.
