Creating Detail in Bead Work: Dots, Raking and Shaping

Using soft glass, Amy Waldman-Smith will share her beadmaking methods for achieving the fine details that make a bead stand out. The week will be spent working on heat control, stringer work, dots, shaping, encasing, raking, sculptural techniques, marvering and more. Amy will break down the process of making the finely detailed beads she is known for into small steps, so that you can slowly build up the details, layer by layer to create your own intricate beads.
