Smoky Mountain Firecrackers: Next meeting is Sunday, August 5, 10 a.m. EDT, at the Bead Addicts studio in Crossville, TN. Members who are attending the Gathering will be giving a full report on their trip and will have show and tell from the event to share. At this meeting, reservations will also open for the October class with JC Herrell, so if you're interested in the class, please plan to attend and claim your spot. ISLAGA: Next meeting, Saturday, July 14, 10:15 a.m. at Indy Flame Art. The bead challenge is your choice, set or focal, and the jewelry challenge is also your choice. The group will be holding a rummage sale for glass, tools, books, etc. Demo provided by Fran Carrico on sculptural flowers using the Bellflower press. The chapter is also excited to announce their inaugural ISLAGA Bead, Jewelry, and Glass Art Show at the Marriott East Hotel on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 11-5 - right next to the Rings-n-Things show. September will continue to be busy as they host Sharon Peters for Creative Sculptural Beadmaking Class #1 on Saturday-Sunday, September 22-23, 2012 and her rarely offered advanced class, Silly Sculpture Creativity Super Nova Class #2, to be held Monday-Tuesday, September 24-25, 2012 (class 1 required to take class 2). Both will be held at INDY FLAME ART in Indianapolis and cost $450 each. There are a few seats open in both classes, so if you are interested in taking a Sharon Peters class in the midwest, (she isn't venturing outside of California to teach much anymore) email sharonpetersclass@comcast.net
