Kris, it sounds like you had a great weekend and are headed for a busy week.

I am doing a presentation to the Portland Bead Society (last week I presented to the Seattle group) and I'm prepping for a quick class I'm teaching for the Fire&Rain/ISGB Regional Retreat at Pilchuck. It's going to be great fun! I'm working on another Grant proposal and have my normal work responsibilities including some Gathering details to work on.

This past weekend we planted some lettuce, herbs and did some repotting. It was warm and sunny in Seattle, so spending time outside was wonderful!

I hope you have a terrific week and thank you for sharing.

Spent mine at the Greater Washington Bead Society spring bead show -- exhausting, as always, but so much fun to catch up with folks! Saw a few people I haven't seen in a couple of years, and these shows always end up feeling more like mini reunions than actual work. Spending this coming weekend doing all the yard work I didn't manage last weekend -- hopefully the east coast will warm back up a bit by Saturday!

I have been spending as much time as possible at the torch as I have the Virginia Hot Glass Festival at Sunspots Studio in Staunton, VA. Tis coming weekend. This is their 10th year and always has lots of fun stuff including lamp working and hot shop demos. I need to have as much work as I can get done ready! Usually a very good turn out. But in-between studio work have been dentist appointments, lab work, getting more oxygen (!), and paying a little bit of attention to the family!!! (we washed the dog this morning so now I am doing laundry, too.)

I am retired - when did I have time to work????? Those of you who do and do all this stuff, too.....you rock!!!

Oh I love that part about shows... Getting to see friends that you only can a few times a year....
Ok so here is what I am really up to today... I hope this isn't coming acrosse as bragging?...
I guess I down play my daily activities also... I have already washed a raw Icelandic sheep fleece and it is out drying in the racks I made( not today) ....have #1 child doing school... #2 is getting ready to do school and #3 is helping me fold my second load of laundry... I cleaned the bathroom and did the dishes I pretended didn't exist last night....made a brine for 2 giant salmon filets that will go on the smoker in 2 days...read and tried to understand several threads.... Now it is time to think about dinner and find time to be creative..... maybe a tiny bit of goofing off?.....

Ok I have to ask what are you driving Nicole?

As for my week end... Open torch at the studio. Then Sunday was a Fiesta event.

I've got a Roadrunner I'm learning on. My drag car will be a 70 super bee but I'm not quite ready for it yet.
