What is Pinterest? I think of it as a visual bookmarking system you share. The layout is a series of bulletin boards with a thumbnail picture that exists on the page you wish to save. You organize them by whatever theme you wish. Your recent pins (imagine using a thumbtack to pin an internet image onto a bulletin board) are fed into a running stream for those who follow you to view. You can see the same from anyone you follow.
Once you have signed up through a member invite, (which I suggest as it is almost instantaneous versus waiting for them to answer your request) go to the main page. On the top right look for "about" and toggle over it. You will see the pin it button. Download your pin it button.
As you go about your internet day and see things you would like to bookmark go ahead and hit the pin it icon in your toolbar to save links. A pop up window will open with picture options to save. Click the one you like best. Add a caption and choose a board to pin it to. You can scroll to the bottom of your current list to add a new theme if necessary.
If you would like an invite message me with your email and I will send you one.

Susan I think I am following the board already. When I have some things to post I will get with you about being a contributor.
