Lightbulb Wesley Fleming in Worcester MA - Oct 22-23

If you work soft glass (or even if you work boro ) and have been wanting to learn to make sculptures "off-mandrel", I'll be teaching my last workshop of 2011 at Elisa Minasian's studio: Something Phishy, in Worcester MA on October 22-23 (just two weeks from now!)

Click here for more information: http://www.somethingphishyglasstudio.com/Workshops.html (I won't be teaching in New England again until next September, FYI.)

In this class, I'll walk you through making and getting comfortable with bigger gathers than you may be used to, then making simple four-legged animals, and then progressing on to learn how to sculpt fine details.

Here is a thread with photos and a writeup about a workshop and demo I did at Playing with Fire Studio, up in Maine last fall: http://lampworketc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177033

And here are examples of things my students, who had never sculpted glass before, made during my classes:

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about this class!

    Best Regards,
    Wes.

Gail, it'll be a blast! Plus you'll have a base to work from, since you've already taken one class from me

There are still a few spots left in this class, if you're interested!

I'm looking forward to increasing the number of glass sculptors in the world this weekend

It's the last class that Wes will be teaching in NE this year. Come in and have some fun this weekend, there are still spaces left.
    Don't miss out!
