Hot Tips from Gathering--Post 'Em Here!

I'm always amazed at the sharing and wealth of info I get from Gathering--from the speakers, workshops, lunch-time and evening sharing--even from someone I'm standing next to in a line. Let's share some of what we learned here!

I'll start--2 things (one of which I did and some said "That's a great idea.")
**I wrapped my beads in cellophane so the TSA folks at the airport wouldn't have to unwrap tissue paper--they could easily see what I had in my carry-on.
**(This next one was "duh" moment for me and thanks to the Houston Hotties I sat with at Banquet) When making headpins (after creating the small gather), hold the wire vertically so the metal will ball up.

TSA has never questioned those weird things in my carry on but I think cellophane would drive me crazy. One of the beadmakers at GlassCraft used the machine for sealing food which I thought was clever.
