Metals in Glass Workshop

May 28 & 29 10am - 6pm $350

Lunch, glass, and mandrels for use in class provided.

Glass is colored with metals. While usually exotic, we can play with those colors using other metals. This class will investigate the uses of silver, copper, reduction frits and even gold. In addition, we will look at basic technique and design with the idea that 6 pair of eyes are better than 2. Some of the techniques we'll play with will be silver leaf vs foil, copper and what can be done with it, mixing your metalfores, color casing metals, and oxy/reduction redux.

I have just one photo of John's work on my website and have a link to his Etsy page as a source of photos of his work... but it looks like John has put his shop on hiatus and is consulting for Fenton Art Glass! Way to go John!
