"Diversity & Creativity: Cultural Influences in Glass Beadmaking"

We are once again calling all ISGB members to submit their glass bead inspirations for the cover "bead" for our 19th Annual Gathering Registration package. "Diversity & Creativity: Cultural Influences in Glass Beadmaking " will focus on how our cultural differences have dictated the creative and diverse growth of modern day contemporary glass beadmaking. Turn up the heat and submit your entry for review.

Image for submission must be a 1200 x 1600 pixel image at 300 dpi. The inspired bead that most reflects the "Diversity & Creativity: Cultural Influences in Glass Beadmaking" theme, will be juried. One will be chosen. The final selection will be photographed by a professional photographer. The artist's name will appear in all promotional mediums. Image for review may be a proto-type; the final piece will need to reflect the same style, color, size and technique. Postage for sending and returning the photographed bead will be supplied by the ISGB. The final image will be used for all Gathering 2011 promotional materials in a variety of mediums: web, print advertising, Gathering registration packet and postcards. By participating in this submission, you agree to release the image for use in these materials. Let your best work set the stage. Send your work today!

Send a jpg digital file to Alethia Donathan, VP of Organizational Support at vp@isgb.org by July 25th, 2010. Decisions will be made and announced by mid August 2010

I thought this deadline was extended until after the Gathering???

Debby, the original date was earlier. The original thread is in the ISGB Members Only section, Call for Entries.

Once Alethia posted it the first time, it was requested that the date be extended. The date that Alethia put in her reminder email above is the extended date July 25th, 2010.

All entries for 2011 Gathering Cover bead are due by July 25.
