Sam - first off, when you click "reply", the "quick response" text area shows up at the VERY bottom of the page. THEN, click the "go advanced" button and it basically gives you the same post buttons/field as used to be there by default.

Here's a piece I finished a couple of days ago - not beads for sure, but they're sort of like stuck mandrel beads in that I fused some steel wire into them while making them, so I could mount them on the (real) hornet's nest. This is the 3rd of 4 pieces I'm making for my part of an exhibit at Racine Art Museum in Racine, WI this summer (I get 9 feet of the Eccentric Insects exhibit: http://www.ramart.org/ram/All-the-Bu...nvade-RAM.html)

Thank's Wes, I'm going to try again.
    Those hornets are awesome.

No I'm not getting the old upload attachments page.
I Did everything you said but get a very strange page.
    Darn it!
Well I'll get it figured out soon.

    Wess,
What color did you use for the wings? I'm working on a queen bee necklce. I'm still working out the issues.
    I want cute, semi-realistic.

    Thanks everyone!

Amy - I love the design of your bead, looks persian to me.

Leslie - the wings are a mix of topaz, clear, trans gray, some enamel, and a *tiny* bit of intense black. If you want to go less complex, perhaps a light topaz and med trans gray mixed up pretty well would do.

My cousin is a photographer that has challenged me to make beads to go with her photographs. So far, I haven't won the battle with the orchids but here are the ones I am happy with. I try to remember a challenge is good for me when I dump my failed attempts into the trash can.

Sam - on the quick reply window is a little icon of a picture - third from right. Click on that and try typing in the location of the picture. I have mine on my website as well as here so I use the image information from that location.

Wonderful beads this month!! You're right Wess, Amy's bead DOES look Persian. Here's one from me.

    Default Birds

Gorgeous Beads. How about some birds? Everyone is bird watching this year. Who hasn't seen Molly the owl and her owletts on the web?

Here is one bird to start.
