I've been wondering...
How long could you expecet a set of hoses to last?
What are the signs that it's time to replace them or your regulaators.
I'm not having any problems, but I have been making beads a long time.
thanks,
Leslie

Good question!
I have had the same hoses since I set up my studio in 1997! I have had some problems with one of my regulators - it seemed like I had to twist it down too much to get pressure. Talked to the guys at the welding supply place where I get my oxygen and took it in. They had a new rubber diaphram (sp?) put in and it is fine.
I think everyone's use is so different - plus the environments are different - that it is really hard to give a figure or time. But maybe one of the techies have better information.

I had the same same experience as Debby with my regulator and once they replace the diaphragm(sp) all was good. I replaced my hoses when I noticed that they were quite cracked and dry when I bent them. My studio gets quite dry in the winter and I think that might them more brittle over time. figured it could not hurt.

Yea Debby,
that's what I thought!
I guess since I'm not haveing any problems I just shouldn't worry about it.
I should be spending my time getting inspired instead of worrying!!

Please remember, I am no expert!
I think seeing what looks like dry rot on the hoses, plus a loss of flexibility, is a good indication that it is time for new ones.
You really need to be aware and keep an eye on things.
