    Default The frozen Tundras of......Kentucky?

I don't know about y'all, but as someone who is seriously sore after shoveling ice and snow for the last couple of days, I have to say that I'm ready for spring! My poor poochie doesn't much care for it either. In fact, towards the beginning of all this, I came home from work & let her out. Poor Loca poochie was all excited and went flying out the door. About two steps into this her expression changes dramatically as she realizes that she is running on 3 inches of ice! Needless to say, Loca continued to fly...right into the patio set which finally stopped her slide! After that first, somewhat rough, entry to the world of ice that exists outside her door, Loca was refusing to go out. I tried leashing her to get her out, but she just cowered while she was out there. Now that we have snow on top of the ice she's ok...thank goodness! Actually, I've been really lucky. I'm one of those luck folks who's power hasn't gone out.

    How is everybody else doing?

    Hi Mary Beth,

I'm not in KY, but I've seen the national news and it isn't good there, is it? WOW! We had the same situation in WA State in December and 'no fun' doesn't even describe it! It's been a hard winter for us, but the midwest and east have been so much worse.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that your power stays on. Take care of yourself and of course that precious pooch, stay warm and think Miami in July for the Gathering! Muy Caliente! HA!
