Call For Entry: Cover Bead for 2009 Gathering

Bead Cover for 2009 Gathering in Miami, Florida
"Miami Fusion"

Calling all ISGB members to submit their glass bead inspirations for the cover "bead" for our 17th Annual Gathering Registration package. "Miami Fusion" will center upon the blend of cultures and persuasions, styles and techniques and the sway of palms and tropical rhythms. Turn up the heat and submit your entry for review.

Image for submission must be a 1200 x 1600 pixel image at 300 dpi. The inspired bead that most reflects the "Miami Fusion" theme, will be juried. One will be chosen. The final selection will be photographed by a professional photographer. The artist's name will appear in all promotional mediums. Image for review may be a prototype, the final piece will need to reflect the same style, color, size and technique. Postage for sending and returning the photographed bead will be supplied by the ISGB. The final image will be used for all Gathering 2009 promotional materials in a variety of mediums: web, print advertising, the Gathering registration packet and postcards. By participating in this submission, you agree to release the image for use in these materials. Let your best work set the stage. Send your work today! On behalf of the ISGB Board of Directors,

I am happy to announce that Patti Cahill's bead titled Bikini Man in the Moon was chosen for the 2009 17th Annual Gathering "Miami Fusion" to be held in Miami, FL.

While it was a challenge for the board to choose from the many interesting and beautiful entries, the winning bead reflected the 2009 Miami Fusion theme with it's inspiration of the blend of cultures and persuasions, styles and techniques, and tropical rhythms.

We hope you will enjoy receiving the upcoming Gathering Registration Package, and are inspired to create your own unique designs to show and tell at this year's conference and exhibits. Most importantly, we hope that this year's Gathering and its theme motivates you to turn up the heat and head to Miami, 2009.

I would like to see what colors the Miami Fusion theme uses. Some individuals may want to make some beads etc. with that theme. Are the colors the same as on the 2009 Gathering flyer that was at the 2008 Gathering? Thank you.
