LOL, yes it is HUGE. I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I first got it in the mail, lol. If I remember right I think it took 3 1/2 rods just to get the base bead done . Then I used another 1 1/2 rods to put on his face. Trust me he felt like he weighed about 20lbs by the time he went in the kiln. I would do it again ,it was fun.Originally Posted by Ofilia_Cinta
I also love putting faces on things, maybe soon I will be brave enough to put faces on my mermaids.
Amy I also sent my pic in by email, but didn't get a OK I got it email. I was worried also so I asked and she did get it. So I'm sure yours is fine too
Kim your bead is WONDERFUL !
I need to get my picture in also. Glad the deadline has been extended.

Hi Kim, Loren teaches how to make murrine faces that can become three dimentional. It's really such a great unique feature to give something a "face" ! It will certainly help set your mermaid apart from the general mass of mermaids. You did very well on the facial expression lines. This takes study. Great job! Still, I can't understand how you guys can tolerate the weight of holding such a heavy bead on a mandrel and for so long.....Originally Posted by Khart67
Hi Amy, just drop the office an e-mail. I did and confirmed that my CD arrived.

Amy,
The main office is overwhelmed with yearbook entries and is unable to confirm each application received. What I plan on doing is listing the participants here on the forum for all to check(posted Feb 15 ish) and be sure they were not accidentally left out. I will also, follow up to be sure I receive yours since you mentioned it here.
Thanks!
Gwynne
Thanks Gywnne, it occured to me after I wrote that that things were swamped and I felt a little silly. (sheepish grin) Thanks, and no hurry. I faxed the payment form in separately and it got a little squished.but the payment and info part was fine.
Thanks for everything!
Amy
I emailed my photo in. Now I know the address is somewhere so I can follow up and mail in my check, but if you could post it here again, that would be great. Thanks, Ellen
Edited to add I found the info here. http://www.isgb.org/info/yearbook.shtml
January 25 is the last possible date! To email your photo JStreeter@mjmservices.org To ask additional questions, ed@isgb.org.
Don't forget Gwynne will post all the names of folks who have signed up. If you are not on the list and you signed up, you will have time to get that squared away....
Finally took the plunge and joined the club! Now I am officially a member of the ISGB at last. Don´t know why it took me so long.
This is the picture I am sending in for the yearbook.
Thank you for looking
